The Vixen

Leigh and Kit meet when he discovers a tiny orphaned fox and takes her as his secret companion. In time it is revealed that the young girl Kit, with the brilliant red hair and deep green eyes, and the small fox are one in the same. While trying to save Guinevere, who has been kidnapped by her lover Lancelot, Leigh sees Kit as a woman and is immediately enchanted. Leigh observes Lancelot's men removing chests of treasure from a tide cave on the Isle of Clare. Leigh is appalled to learn Kit's a thief and is torn between his duty to turn the treasure over to Arthur and his compelling enchantment with Kit. After they learn each other's identities, their bond deepens. Just as the proclamation of the Druids nears fulfillment, Kit is kidnapped by her former crew. Leigh and Olyn beg the King and Merlin to help them save the Irish throne, Kit, and the Queen. Guinevere is restored to her place beside her husband and hosts a royal coronation for Leigh and Kit. Leigh is knighted as directed by Merlin; Olyn has the pleasure of uniting his two wards.
