The Toff Proceeds

The Honourable Richard Rollison (aka ‘The Toff') is in a good mood. He is looking forward to a delightful weekend pursuing one of his favourite pastimes: playing cricket in the English countryside. Unfortunately, there is a plot afoot to remove the head of a wealthy family. This and other events take over and ‘The Toff' finds himself once again on the investigative trail. It starts with a member of his team being found stabbed and a pretty girl flees with ‘The Toff' in hot pursuit. She is then spirited away after a somewhat unusual conversation with her pursuer; another young woman is murdered in London and bullets are fired at a man from a speeding car. Blackmail is afoot and events all seem to revolve around two young ladies who appear to look completely alike.
