Hidden away in a secret Kensington flat, Connor Adams and Kenton Crisp tend to their wounds and wonder if it is safe to leave. Their supplies are running low, and there are strange voices muttering out in the corridor. Desperate times call for desperate measures, though, and the two friends are forced to leave when a gang of tiny ninja Chihuahuas assault them. Eventually they are able to evade the dogs and make it to Manchester Temple, where Mother Canary has some grave news, and a request for Connor: find Doctor Reginald McCallister before it's too late. Yes, that's right. Connor has to go on another quest. She's not exactly chuffed about it, either. But this quest will be different. She only has one companion this time, and he reminds her of vinegar and spring rain. Regardless, she will still make some new friends, be reunited with Jeremy, and have an epiphany that will change her life, and save Kenton's. Will Connor find Reginald in time? What's a bastigre?
