The name's Lawson. I've been called a host of other names over the years--most of which I can't repeat here--but the bloodsucker community know me as a Fixer. A vampire cop. My reputation usually keeps people out of my way, but this time, it's stuck me with a hell of a case.

My cousin Marilyn is missing. She's a dancer in New York City, hoping to trip the light fantastic on Broadway. I hear she may have been doing the two-step with a bunch of lowlife vampire gangsters who call themselves the Syndicate. My Manhattan contact is new on the job and doesn't have much info on these vamps.

The Syndicate, on the other hand, seems to know plenty about me--too much, in fact. They've nabbed Marilyn to persuade me to join their cause. All they've done is make my blood boil, and inspired me to call in some old favors. The deadly kind.
