The Star of India

A beautiful, exquisite, white sea-going yacht sails into town with an equally rich good-looking doll who reminds Cade McCane of an old flame. Insert the world's largest diamond to be displayed in Galveston's Museum of Natural History, and you have all the gears set in motion for both theft and murder. Toss in a couple of college kids in love, plus a few crew members to muddle the stew and McCane, an ex-city cop out of homicide, and his newest girlfriend, are left to straighten out the whole mess.
