How would you cope with discovering an alternative version of your home town complete with an alternative girlfriend?A totally unexpected inheritance turns Tony Peterson's life upside down. He retires from the Metropolitan Police and returns to his home city of Winchester. There, not only does he meet Carrie, a girl from his past but he also discovers something out of this world in the house he has inherited in the St Cross area of the city. A mirror in his study can transport him to another version of Winchester, to a world where World War One never happened. When one of the first friends he makes in the new world is brutally murdered, he steps in to help the local police solve the crime.
