The Skeleton Next Door

A simple home renovation leads to the discovery of a skeleton in the basement. Northville homicide detectives Dan Gold and Xander Nicholson now have a seventeen year-old cold case on their hands, one that initially appears linked to a serial killer operating in Northville at that time. Their investigation soon brings into question Carrie and Kathy Burns, neighbors of Denise at the time of her death. While the detectives have doubts about the original investigation blaming serial killer David Woodley for Denise's death, they also aren't sure what motive Kathy or Carrie would have to harm their friend and neighbor. Uncovering these secrets takes Gold and Nicholson into dangerous territory involving crimes hidden for nearly two decades.
