The Silent Boy is about a teenage boy named Jackson who is being abused constantly by his mother Jane. After his father leaves his family, Jackson is stuck with a drunk and abusive mother. He withstands years of abuse before he finally snaps and has enough. This story shows the darker side of reality from a child's perspective. She enjoys listening to all types of music, anything from classical music to musicals. She played basketball in high school. Jd describes herself as a protective sister, cousin, auntie, daughter, and granddaughter. Her ideas from this book are not from personal experience, but they instead stemmed from her thoughts as a freshman in high school.
