The Shadow Order

What we don't know, can hurt us. The city of Chicago has had its share of bad luck. There was the Great Fire in 1871, the Eastland Disaster in 1915 and the St. Valentine Massacre in 1929. While the city would eventually recover from these tragedies, Al Capone's legacy, the Chicago Outfit, has continued its reign of terror. Cassandra Barnes begins taking small cases as a private investigator in 1954, and prepares herself for the backlash of a woman doing a man's job. What she has not prepared for is the waging war for the city between the Outfit and a mysterious organization known only as, the Shadow Order. Caught in the crossfire, and falling deeper and deeper into a mystery that sheds new light on the murder of her father, what awaits her on the other side is more than she could ever imagine. Will Cassandra be able to face her fears and find out who is lurking in the darkness before they find her?
