The Sad Man

At the end of the cul-de-sac she is watching. Because that's the only thing she can do. She cannot make any noise, she cannot alert them that she is there. She can only sing when her Keeper allows it. So she watches the people of the cul-de-sac, oblivious to her captivity. But she's very, very good at people watching. So good, in fact, that she can even see how they live inside their homes. She knows about Kevin's affair & Kathy's hatred of him, about the Sung's homesickness for Korea, and she knows about the Sad Man. She knows everything...except what he is waiting for. She waits with him, watching...until the day he changes everything by laughing.
