THE RUNAWAY: EDDIE'S STORY is a poignant tale of a sixteen-year old boy from Chicago whose abusive parents disown him. Thinking he killed a bully in a fight, Eddie runs away from Chicago and winds up in New York City. He learns that the bully is not dead but in a coma. Eddie hides out in the city, assumes a false identity, gets a job, rents a room, falls in love, and has extraordinary adventures in New York. Will Eddie ever get his life back? Will his love survive? What if the bully dies? Eddie must face all of these things, and the greatest challenge of all, he must face himself.
