Having forgone her life as a Reaper, Lauren returns to her home with Test after saving him from certain death. Fighting her own inner demons, she knows that the battle has just begun and attempts to help the young Shadow prepare for their inevitable encounter with Isaac, the oldest and most powerful of the Reapers. As they struggle to understand and accept one another, Isaac plots to lure them to their deaths; placing those from Test’s past in danger once again.
