On the brink of war, the Nine Realms' King believes that an ancient work of power, the Chain Cyrhision, will aid him. His Council, though, are not so sure, and to commit many good knights to look for it would be folly. So who better to send than Holtworth Goodfellow, the upstart suitor of King Elfeor's daughter?
