The Progeny of Angels

As the Earth falters under the assault of mankind's ever-increasing intellect, an evolved form of life from another universe plans a return to Earth. Their mission is to safeguard the Earth and the surrounding galaxy from the destructive forces of mankind as they reach a new level of advancement that will propel them forward and beyond the Earth to other-worlds. The Holocene race inhabits a solitary planet within Universe Nine, the central universe to all universes, which otherwise is a place of nothingness, a void. They are a race of travellers passing through the eight universes that surround their own, observing and, at times, intervening in the affairs of the worlds within. They exist as pure mutable crystal energy and have a catlike appearance, with long tails, faces without chins, and long, flowing hair like crystalline shards of ice.
