      Gulliver finds himself in a world constructed of memories he shared with his older brother who has just died young. He also encounters his estranged wife who killed herself while hiking with him in the Yukon. The themes of this novel involve existential relationships and deal with the question, "What does it mean to be human?" Humor, horror, and a richly textured descriptive framework keep the reader entertained and enjoying what appears initially to be a tragic story. In the end it is life affirming and positive.
