The Painting of Deceit

Jeffrey Fortier’s sister Ellie helps to raise him on their estate where neighbors’ homes are not in close enough proximity to hear their parents’ psychological abuse which is used as discipline. Jeff is mischievous and displays no regard for danger, and Ellie gets punished for anything bad that occurs. When their great aunt Ida Kidd is diagnosed with a terminal illness, she leaves newborn Isabella Fortier two mysterious dolls with a riddle. After a fire starts at their estate and being fearful of her next punishment, Ellie devises a plan in a desperate attempt to stop her parents’ psychological torture. Rookie police officer, Patrick Russell spends time with Ellie in hopes to get information to arrest Jeff and make a name for himself, but Ellie makes excuses even after she spies Jeff building explosives, because she is scared Officer Russell will derail her plan to stop her parents’ abuse.
