The Other Meditia Girl

Lyra Bellicosa was from Meditia and when she started at Miss Plazenby's Extremely Exclusive Seminary for Girls in the far off land of Frangea she quickly became popular, for like many from her homeland she had a gift for lyrical imagery. However she was not the only Meditia girl at the school. Anthera Malabona shared none of the gifts or popularity of her poetic colleague for she came from a part of Meditia where precious minerals rather than word gems were mined. Thus she pondered the true meaning of popularity and the desirability of things. Having discovered a much sought after gem known as a seedopal had been popularised on some reality show when in fact it was nothing more than a waste product in the mining process in her homeland, Anthera decided to investigate the matter more closely. Thus she uncovered just how far some people were willing to go in the name of greed and simply wanting to be more than just a face in the crowd.
