Daniel Ryun is having the worst possible year. First his wife gets pregnant with the Antichrist. Then she ends up the cyborg steelbody guardian of the Chosen One who is her child-- and also Daniel's.
Daniel has problems of his own. First the Archmage of the Materialist Magicians attacks him, then Daniel starts dying of radiation sickness.
Fortunately, he has friends among the elves. When he accepts their help, he ends up on a hopeless quest around the World Mountain-- to rescue his wife if he can, before his time runs out.
Deep beneath the Mountain, the Magicians have been creating nuclear-powered steelbodies. Their goal? Set off a chained nuclear explosion around the World Mountain to cut Earth off from the world of the elves. Daniel may be able to stop them.
But first he'll have to become the biggest, baddest steelbody the bad guys have ever made.
The Next World Out is Book 3 of the Nextworld series, which begins with Book 1, The Next World Over, and continues in Book 2, The Next World Under.
