Suddenly Pete realized he was dressed in strange clothing. Not the favorite ragged pajamas he'd put on earlier. He stared down at his feet and saw a dirty piece of bandage wrapped around a big toe, but he didn't remember hurting his foot. An old-fashioned clock chimed downstairs. I'm dreaming, he thought. He shut his eyes and counted to ten. When he opened them, he was still in the same dream. . .
