The Mergirl's Lake

After he finds a dragon's egg and accidentally hatches it, Orson is flung into a quest that he doesn't know he's on to find someone he doesn't know he has to find in order to right a great wrong done by someone who didn't really think about what he was doing – and along the way he finds out he's not who he thinks he is.



On their way to Lake Taroi, Orson and his friends find a badly-wounded man who says he has an urgent message for someone near the lake. Taking him there, Orson finds that the rumours of mer in the lake are true when he rescues a mergirl from a couple of local villagers. What he doesn't expect to find, however, is a secret that will change his life forever – and another which will change the fate of the Kingdom itself.
