The Mercifuls

Simon Mallow is the leader of the most successful musical group in all of the Faery kingdoms. The band has managed to keep its dark secret despite its success. But Simon is unsettled. Ever since he lost his opportunity to have Teilo Feather join Shauna Faun, nothing has been right. Now another young Faery, who well knows their secret and is fascinated by them, seeks them out. He is willing to do just about anything to become one of them. But for as much as Simon is drawn to the young Flynn Whitethorn, he is hesitant, too. They've already lost one member who had to be dealt with after he went rogue. Simon doesn't want the same thing to happen to Flynn – yet he doesn't want to risk losing the boy and his talent at music. A plague and a few other near-catastrophes befall the light Faeries and the dark in this sequel to Dark Faery I: The Benevolents.
