The Market Street Chronicles is a veritable romp through Mr. Cain's imagination. In 1870, Pastor Ben Rogers thought he could save the people of Belle Vernon. In 1884, at the age of 34, he realized he was wrong . dead wrong. In 1935, the fifth floor of the Market Street Apartments goes up in flames. In 1998, sixty-three years later, two people are murdered on the same night shortly after construction workers begin to restore the fifth floor. Evil has been working hard to gain a stronghold, and with this reconstruction, Evil has found a way to send us a message of grave importance. It's so hard to tell who is alive these days.
