The Mad King's War

The War Is Upon Us! The dreaded Mad King's War has finally come. Barrow's Prince must lead his citizen army to Three Oaks Hostel to hold the northern hordes away from his defenseless city. The Last Regiment must stand at the Westland Fork, waiting for help that may never arrive. Two thousand Knights must cross frozen mountains in winter. In the face of a hurricane, a leaky ship must rescue tormented prisoners from a pirates' lair. Fishing boats must masquerade as a war fleet. The Old Man of Barrow must defeat the Mad King in a sorcerous duel across the Planes, though the Mad King can never die. Even if each defenses succeeds, all will fail without intervention by the noncommittal Elves and the return of the long Lost Tellarani. Three invasions roll toward free-wheeling Barrow, with only a thin, mortal line between the city and its doom. The Barrow tetrology's complex plot-lines weave into a finished tapestry as The Mad King's War thunders to the end of an era on the magical Thousand Stars Plane.
