The Lunatic Fringe

Teddy Roosevelt is Police Commissioner and McKinley and Bryan are challenging each other for the presidency. In an opulent sitting room, Officer Dennis Patrick Francis-Xavier Muldoon discovers the corpse of a renowned political cartoonist. On the dead man's opulent bed is the bound, naked, and quite opulent Pink Angel. Muldoon releases her from her bonds, turns his back--and she's gone. So is his gun. So is his job.

Enlisting the aid of Roosevelt, Muldoon tracks the Pink Angel from Fifth Avenue mansions to dens of thieves, from bawdy houses to the hideaway of Joseph Pulitzer,
and brings the lunatic fringe to a truly cliffhanging conclusion!
