The Lost Children of Bethnal Green

(Novella: 21,000-words): It's All Hallows Eve! DI Quigg has a new partner – DC Jezebel Rummage – but she's not all she seems. Seven children have gone missing in one month from the Ragged Children's Home in Bethnal Green. As far as anyone is concerned, the children are runaways, but when Quigg and Rummage investigate they find something a lot more sinister. Also, Sergeant Ada Sage is threatening to report him for sexual harassment unless she gets what she wants; Inspector Nicky Wright also wants some more odd jobs completing, but odd jobs are the last thing on her mind; and to get Mrs Morbid to put Mandy back on the post, he has to promise to investigate a haunted house in Copperfield Street.
