The Life and Dreams of Effie Farraday

This haunting, eerie story is of a young woman named Effie Farraday. Since childhood she has experienced recurring dreams of Gideon, a winsome character from another time and place, and terrifying nightmares of an old toy named Gilbert. When strange events begin to occur, Effie's impetuous friend Mace helps her find a mysterious atmospheric other world, where she meets Gideon. Swiftly she is immersed in the unique, blissful way of life there, but after a shocking discovery and distressing news, Effie is forced to return home. On her arrival it soon becomes clear that something is wrong and Effie is dumbfounded by what she learns. When memories of Gideon inexplicably begin to fade and any hopes of seeing him again destroyed, Effie attempts to live a normal life. However a niggling doubt festers at the back of her mind and when fate suddenly intervenes, her world is thrown into pandemonium.
