Detective Angus Wellstone is an honest middle-aged cop in a small New Jersey town. So when he and his young hard-brawling partner Knobs discover one terrifying night that werewolves and vampires are real, and that church and state have conspired for centuries to keep the secret, he does the honest thing: He calls CNN. Five years of world-wide interspecies warfare later, mankind and our nocturnal predators have reached a fragile peace. By law, we don't hunt them and they don't hunt us. But a vengeful demon, determined to shatter that peace and take its rightful place back at the top of the food chain, has declared war on Wellstone.
