Rowan Belikov is the Last Belikov. The last of her family line. She has lived in Los Angeles forever, believing that her parents had died in the earthquake of 1994. She lives with her older uncle, and goes to Ashwood High School, just like any normal teen would do. Although, two un-normal teens follow her wherever she goes. Saphira Pyren and her cousin Kellan Lamont are trying to rescue Rowan from the humans, and trying to convince her that she really is a witch, and that she was destined to lead her Circle Iris in less than thirty days. Her parents and older brother died in the unpredictable Disaster at Dawn 1994, a huge magical accident. But of course, why should Rowan believe them? When she is paid a surprise visit from Nick Charin, another from Circle Iris, Rowan then decides to see truth. But can she learn all she needs to know in little than a month? The fates of many people in the Circle rest in her hands. More problems undergo. The guy who Rowan had always secretly liked, Luke Greyer, suddenly falls for her. Everything was perfect in the world then. Everything was right. But as the month comes to a close, she starts to notice that Nick isn't such a bad guy after all either. Her mind in a whirl of confusion, is Rowan falling for him now? At the worst of times? It's hard to be just a normal teenager when every witch in Los Angeles is expecting you to be the savior of the century.
