The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore

On her way home from visiting a friend, Christina Lattimore is grabbed in her driveway and drugged. When she wakes up she is on a narrow cot in a chilly basement.

Christina realizes she has been kidnapped and is being held for ransom. Alone in her basement prison, she thinks about her family. Although there'd been tension between them, she needs them now more than ever. Her thoughts are interrupted by a coarse, ski-masked man who forces her to sign a ransom note addressed to her grandmother, an oil-business millionaire who controls the family purse strings. When Christina is finally freed a few days later, she discovers that her parents, her grandmother, and the police are convinced that she was an accomplice in her own kidnapping! She must prove her innocence — no matter what.
