Marley Dearcorn never thought the old box of arrowheads her father collected over the years was anything special, until a University of Wyoming paleontologist shows up on their ranch and starts digging into the past. The student is looking for dino- saur fossils, but what he uncovers instead sets off a chain of events nobody could have seen coming. More than thirty years ago and under eerily similar circumstances, a student archaeologist spent a summer uncovering a find on the Dearcorn ranch that eventually made him famous. On the heels of that discovery, Marley's grandfather was found murdered. Shot in the back by a killer who was never caught, his homicide became one of Killdeer Valley's great unsolved mysteries. Marley now finds herself retracing the events that led to her grandfather's death, and she is convinced the path will lead her directly to the killer. Unfortunately for Marley, she may be right.
