The Hot Dry Spell

It is the Roaring 20's and jazz is on the upswing. Flappers and the Charleston are all the rage. The nightclubs are hot and the drinks are cold. Underneath the prosperous society and booming nightlife is a world unknown to most humans. A burgeoning underworld of fantasy creatures from the Fae to Vampires, trolls and Shapeshifters are working to survive underneath human eyes.

Ariane is a young Fae woman with the nickname, Sweet Rose of Chicago. The talented beauty and her alluring voice mesmerize both mortals and immortals across the city and underworld. The one man who is resistant to her charms is the only man she longs to be with; Gerry Anderson. Gerry is a runner for the Fae King, supplying bootlegged liquor for the humans and blood for the creatures of the night within the Fae King's favor. When a shaky truce between the outcast vampires and the King's shifter creatures splinters, Gerry's life may be in danger and Ariane may lose the only man she sings and lives for.
