The Horse Spirit

The Barony of Pennarth has fallen on hard times. With no direct heir from the last baron, necromancers and thieves have taken over. Now, Evan Pierce has come to reverse that trend. Slowly Evan rebuilds the castle, its army, and the town guard, causing quite a stir. Next, he appoints a mayor to the nearby town of Irenrhod; the local guild of thieves retaliates by trying to assassinate him. This does not deter Evan and he continues to hire more guards in town.Unable to control the situation, the bandit leader asks for help from the necromancers, who sends mindless, animated dead corpses from the grave. They rend stone and flesh, and spread terror into the hearts and minds of everyone. Still Evan refuses to yield, angering the dark mages to such an extent that they swoop down on Irenrhod and blast it to bits. Amazed at the strength of the necromancers, Evan realizes he must discover their power source and defeat them before they destroy Pennarth and everyone in town is murdered.
