The Hero of Varay

Gil was just another college student when his father died and left him an incredible inheritance. Destined to be both the hero of Varay and the heir to its crown, Gil stepped through the magical doorway into his kingdom. There he received a cram course in all the hazards of the Varayan buffer zone, a region midway between Fairy and nonmagical Earth, where he quickly became both a Dragonslayer and an elfslayer. But now he would need all his skill, luck, and wizard and warrior allies to face the new menace to the buffer zone. For when terrorists began using limited nuclear explosions on Earth, it set off a chain reaction of magic in the buffer zone that could send dragons all the way to our World and back to Varay. If Gil were to halt such magical chaos, he would have to obtain the unobtainable--the legendary jewels of the all-powerful goddess, the Great Earth Mother....
