The General's Ambition

All Master Sergeant Lauren Harper has to do is make it through one final training exercise before she and Sergeant Major Harry Fogg of the British Special Air Service can finally have the time they've been planning for months. Thirty days of sun and sand and an opportunity to get to know each other … finally.

When a horrific crime interrupts her plans, Harper knows the delay is only temporary. There were plenty of witnesses and the case is open and shut. Besides, the last thing Harper wants is to be dragged into another dangerous investigation. 

But something isn't right. Why would a highly decorated officer do what he did? What if the training accident isn't an accident? And why can't Harper shake the idea that there's more going on than the investigators will admit? 

As much as she wants to escape on a sun-filled vacation with Harry, service in uniform means duty trumps personal desire and if Harper doesn't do something, others are at risk.
