The Friendship Pact

Tracy Newfield is madly, desperately in love with Ross Perlman—along with every other teenage girl in America. Better known as the Rabbit, Ross is the star of Joyride, Tracy's favorite TV show. Tracy and her best friend, Andrea, are his biggest fans, and when they learn that Rabbit is coming to town to give a benefit concert, they're sure of one thing: They've got to meet him. And they make a pact that they will meet him—together.

They try everything. First, Tracy approaches her father's friend at the city newspaper, and Andrea calls up the most important businessman in town. They even try the "Meet the Rabbit Contest" at the local radio station. Then Tracy gets a call that's too good to be true: an invitation to a party for Rabbit at the mayor's house!

Tracy is torn. She wants to meet Rabbit more than anything, but Andrea isn't invited to the party. How can she choose between her best friend—and her favorite star?
