The Fall of Acerland

The rending of the Covenant awakens the evil monster Gwaum. With a terrible fury, the creature sweeps down upon Vintown while the people flee before his wrath. The Kingdom of Acerland falls. Tarque, having warned the King of the danger in vain, saves young Prince Bearl and a remnant of the people. They flee the kingdom, leaving thousands to the cruelty of a merciless creature who has a lust for the taste of human flesh.
