The Emissary: Homeward

The daughters of Clan McLeod are armed with bows and mounted on Spanish mustangs. Riding like the Huns of old, they sweep across the world in ruins.
Bethany McLeod, her younger sisters Dani and Julie are homeward bound for Dunvegan castle. To cement the shaky alliance between the McLeod and Davidson clans, they're bringing former soldiers Zack Hetzier and Hector Sanchez back to Dunvegan for training.
However, Sanchez has infected wounds, a storm is coming, and the only shelter is a storage yard claimed by a band of starving refugees. While the women in the camp might welcome them, the men might kill them and eat their horses.
Since the area is heavily invested with muerto, Bethany bargains for shelter. She puts her trust in her sisters and the horses to keep watch during the stormy night.
