About This Book

The fourth in the Flora BeGora mystery series, "The Donation" begins with a very insignificant event. Flora collects donations for the thrift shop where she volunteers in Port BreeZe. Inside one bag, there is an odd little note that sets the stage for what will follow. A new "research project" has presented itself and she enlists her now familiar cast of characters to assist. They include her handsome cop neighbor, Lawrie Stevenson, her long-time friend, Phim Bellefontaine, who dearly loves excitement, the very talkative Thalia Blackmore and Bill Hill, Flora's male companion. Flora's son, Kelly, makes an enthusiastic entrance. There are many loose ends that need to be connected like the kidnapping of a young woman and her child, a stolen necklace, various break ins, the awful, horrible Alwin Bishop and his son Zack and what is actually going on at his rural property? There are so many disconnected facts that need to be pulled together and Flora struggles to find her way through all the loose ends. There are frightening confrontations, a clandestine trip in the dark, visits to a prisoner and an assignment from the local police department. Imagine that As an added bonus, while working through the maize, Flora discovers a missing woman that no one knew was missing. This is the icing on the cake. Not to worry. The Flora humor is never far away.
