I'm Lawson, and my name strikes fear even among other vampires. I work as a Fixer, making sure my fellow bloodsuckers remain out of sight and out of mind. The last thing any of us needs is an angry human mob gunning to serve us some stake. But right now, humans are the least of my problems.

Shiva's back. Half vamp, half werewolf, she's the deadliest assassin I ever came across--and failed to put down--thanks to her shape-shifting abilities. She's been taking out Fixers left and right across the country, and now she's stalking my turf.

She's got some beef against Belarus, the head of the Council, who's declared war on Shiva's clan. Now the Council wants me and a fellow Fixer named Jarvis--who's got his own axe to grind with Shiva--to stop her slaying spree. But I don't like being used for a personal vendetta--especially one that could get me thrown to the wolves...
