The Dead Rise

In the depths of the Amazon rain forest, an archaeologist makes an inexplicable discovery: ruins that predate all known human civilization and contain an artifact that will be the instrument of mankind's destruction.

The world's dead soon begin to rise from their graves and attack the living as an unstoppable foe. Although individually weak, their hordes are an unstoppable force; they soon overwhelm all of the major bastions of civilization in the world, leaving carnage and destruction in their wake.

As the survivors desperately fight for survival in a situation that they struggle to even grasp, four people from very different walks of life discover that they have inexplicably developed superhuman abilities. Knowing that they may be humanity's only hope for survival, they set out in search of other survivors. What they find is more bizarre than anything they could have ever expected.
