Returning from their morning gym workout at the Glendon Hills Retirement Community, fast friends Viola Weatherspoon and Tyrone Landowski get the shock of their lives. A disoriented and bloody Phyllis Duncan clutches a knife outside her apartment door. Inside, her husband, Ralph, lies dead.

Viola and Ty are convinced shy, gentle Phyllis wouldn't hurt a fly, much less her obnoxious husband, no matter how badly he behaved. Crooked, corrupt, and a hound dog to boot, he was hated by everybody…and now somebody stabbed him. But if his long-suffering wife didn't kill Ralph, who did? Proving Phyllis's innocence gets harder as twists, turns, and motorcycle racing find Viola and Ty scrambling to unravel a carefully plotted crime with a near perfect alibi.
