The Day I Died

When a bored Josh Kirkland - thinking he's taking part in the development of a game - follows the young and beautiful Sarabeth Cordwright he finds himself in 1772, in a Colonial America where friends and foes are not always easy to tell apart. It's a dangerous world, and he must help the girl determine who killed her or be stuck in it forever. There are many possibilities, particularly men who are romantically obsessed with her and even her own mother. Fortunately, he has an ally, another young man named Charles Dickson who was brought to 1772 by Sarabeth decades earlier. Between them - the overachiever from 1955 and the slacker from 2008 - the two young men begin an association that gives both of them a window into other times. Is it enough to get them out of 1772 and back to their own times and the lives they left behind?
