The Dagonites

In 1921 two students from Providence search the tunnels under College Hill to find the ideal site for an experiment in the relativity of time for one of their professors. They find much, much more. In a carven chamber they find a cache of mysterious crates packed with artifacts of legendary power. The problem is that there are multiples of each. They also become aware of another presence in the tunnels, a non-human cult who practice human sacrifice to their ancient god, a creature that has plagued mankind for thousands of years. Soon they are locked in a desperate battle with the cult and their evil deity. This is Part 1 of a larger episodic story, The Chronicles of Underhill. That is why there are a few subplots that seem to be left dangling: they are picked up in Part 2.
