The Crystal Trident

The Crystal Trident, the first book of TheArcher Adventures, introduces 14-year old Archer, an ardent adventurer. Bullied at school because of hisblonde hair and violet eyes that he obviously didn't inherit fromdark-haired, blue-eyed parents, he struggles to understand why his peers don't accept him. 

After his parents disappear during a visit to Hawaii, Archer takes the family trimaran and runs away. The first night at sea, a killer wave throws him and his sailboat through a portal into the paranormal worldof the immortals where he awakes with a mermaid at his side, no memory ofhis past and no idea how he got to a place the mermaid callsBalycon.
