About This Book

Lily is a 12 year old girl who hears the voice of the Hebrew Goddess. Shekhinah calls to her from her exile in the Labyrinth of Time, where the hot summer sun shines upon winding rows of golden wheat grain. Trapped there by all the evil in the world called klipot, in the form of black hairy creatures with sharp claws, Shekhinah waits for a heroine to set her free and return her to human consciousness. Based on Kabbalistic mythology and modern Witchcraft, Lily travels through other dimensions that correspond to the cycles of the earth and the four seasons, gathering wisdom and spirit guides along the way. In between her otherworldly travels, Lily deals with family issues that can only be resolved through understanding and acceptance. In the end, Lily stands on the bimah of her synagogue at her Bat Mitzvah and faces the congregation with courage and a brave heart.
