After stirring from his nap, Tommy finds himself in this never-never land, where animals talk and insects hum melodies. Twice he enters into this world and returns to tell his adventure to his four friends, Bobby, Rose, Willie and Betsy Sue of the two animals he met while walking in this enormous and dazzling forest.
