The Case of the Junk Yard Dog

In this continuation of the Carson Family detective series, Kit and Jace go under cover in a junk yard to try to prove that the owner is skimming vast sums which prevents his wife from reaping her fair share of the business during their very nasty divorce. Not only do they get a lesson in what it means to truly be dirty, they find the junk yard owner much dirtier than the grease in the cars could possibly create. Suddenly, what seemed like a couple of hundred thousand in graft has become several million and the danger from the dogs guarding the junk yard is nothing compared to the threat from their human masters. Whitney and Trace move to pull their sons out of the assignment when people begin to die, but the only way to tame the beasts is to pull their fangs. That means finding the money and eliminating the threat at its source.
