The Butterfly Meadow

Jane Ingham had led a very sheltered life in a small village. Not because she had to, it was her choice to live this way. From a young age, she became fascinated with days playing at the local fruit orchards while her mother worked in the fields.The farm owners, a brother and sister, loved her as much as if she were part of their small family. As the years went past, the youngster spent all her spare time there. Helping during harvest, playing in the beautiful meadow full of flowers, feeding the chickens, milking the goats, and learning about what it was to have faith, and a purpose.When she left school she worked there full-time and learned all aspects of farm life and much more besides. When Thomas and Mary Ackerman departed this mortal realm within a few years of each other, it was no surprise to anyone that they left the farm and everything tied to it in the capable hands of Jane. No sooner had she begun to move her things into Chapel Cottage, than an incident happened in the village.Someone appeared to have gone missing, vanished without a trace. For whatever reason, Jane could not let the matter drop. She was determined to get to the bottom of it all and find out exactly what had happened.
