About This Book

In this contemporary fantasy, Mike Alex, a small-town mechanic, has a problem. He's got a bracelet that can grant him any wish. He must discover how to use this power, but will he lose himself in the process? An excerpt: "Emptiness took him. He'd used the bracelet again, and anything could happen. But it was too much for him, and too much for any man or woman to resist. A thing like the bracelet shouldn't be allowed to exist under the sight of God, but Mike now had to face the fact that it did. He could do anything with it. Elation filled the hole inside him. If God had allowed the bracelet to exist, it must be a part of his design. Unless, of course, he had somehow gone above all that, above God. Why worry about religious questions if the bracelet could give him any kind of power he wanted? Screw God, he could be him, if he wished it. Mike Alex laughed at himself, smiled in the faint light, and caught the glint of his eyes in the mirror. In the next room, Rhonda turned over, mumbling to herself. To cover his actions, even though he didn't need to, Mike Alex flushed the toilet, and left the bathroom. He slept soundly that night."
