The Bloodied Cravat

In Regency England, Beau Brummell stood as the uncrowned king of genteel Society. Whatever he wore was the height of, fashion. Wherever he went was the place to be. Beau Brummell arrived punctually at the estate of Frederica, the Duchess of York, as her special guest for her birthday celebration. Unfortunately, when his tardy valet arrives, Beau learns that highwaymen stole most of his baggage--including an indiscreet letter that Freddie wrote to him, which could embroil them both in scandal.

But even more scandalous is murder. One of Freddie's guests is found dead with her hatpin lodged in his throat. Beau cannot stand by and allow her to be accused of the crime--even if she is angry with him for keeping her letter and allowing it to fall into the wrong hands.
